The Story

 

The Chef’s Market of North Conway opened in July 2005 and is chef-owned and operated by Chef Bryant and his wife Patti Alden, along with their children Claire and Amelya.  Chef Bryant has been creating gourmet dishes for more than 18 years as an Executive Chef in the Mt. Washington Valley including Hales White Mountain Hotel and the Eagle Mountain House, before working as a Chef Consultant for PFG Northcenter. His cuisine combines traditional New England fare with international ingredients. 

 

Bryant, a 13th generation John Alden descendent of the Mayflower, began cooking with his grandmother as a child on Cape Cod. Patti received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree before relocating to the Mt. Washington Valley in 1989. Her interest in people and organizing events led her to more than 15 years in Sales & Event Management where she organized all aspects of corporate meetings, weddings, and social events at The Mount Washington Hotel, Hales White Mountain Hotel and the Eagle Mountain House.  The combination of Chef Bryant’s passion for cooking and Patti’s experience in hospitality made the creation of the Chef’s Market a natural progression to their career paths.

Our Philosophy

 

The concept of the Chef’s Market was created as a way to offer busy lives a convenient, affordable, healthy alternative to dining by combining the quality of gourmet dishes with the convenience of take-out.  With families being pulled in many different directions, too many people are turning to fast food take-out because they simply don't have the time to prepare a well-balanced meal.  Our philosophy is to provide a consistent level of high-quality food and exceptional customer service at an affordable price. The Chef’s Market gives Chef Bryant the platform to be creative and experiment with flavors which are then refined into new menu items in our display case.  What begins as an experimentation of tastes turns into a dish designed to please any palette. If you desire delicious quality food, but lack the time to prepare it, pick up dinner at the Chef’s Market and bring your family back to the kitchen table.
